about
We are so excited to be releasing our first single together. Dreaming and believing in each other through hard work, dedication, and perseverance is how we do. Making music is strengthening our love more than we could have ever imagined.
MAYBE HERE:
Fighting for a freedom to love one another amidst the chaos of life’s challenges isn’t always easy. In a world where everyone’s ego is running amuck, we’ve become divided, opinionated, and close our ears to the possibilities of changing how we live our lives to what a "better" version of ourselves means and is. Michael always reminds me by quoting a line from the movie, Raising Arizona, saying “'You're 'already home Glen"!
Our dream is that people will continue to open up to the idea of accepting each other no matter how different we are from one another. We are all humans, live on the same planet, and have more in common than we realize. This song is about being free to be yourself and loving others just the way they are. Everyone is entitled to live a happy, peaceful life, free from the demands and constraints of others' expectations. When something doesn’t work out, keep going! Don’t give up on yourself and your love! Sometimes life is meant to go in a different direction. That’s cool too! A different kind of love does and will always exist. It is already alive and happening within this realm if we choose it!
“Maybe here” is one of the first of our many songs about how Michael and I continue to find “a new love together". We hope you do too!
Cover art is designed by Michael Ivins from a photo he took of the stage floor of gaffer tape and his extension cords during a sound check when he was touring. A place called the Münchenbryggeriet (Munich Brewery) in Södermalm (an island in the middle of Stockholm, Sweden) when he was playing with the Flaming Lips.
lyrics
Freedom from favor
Freedom from pain
Freedom from trouble
Freedom to change
Forget all the haz-beens
Remember the rain
Freedom to all of those
Not being the same
Who are we loving
Who are we for
Which side is right
Show me the door
Maybe here I’ll find
A new love together
Paddle the river
Hoping for the more
Remember the good times
With a key to adore
Strength in the quiet
Shut up and fight
Pushin’ the power
What is wrong
What is right
Who are we loving
Who are we for
Which side is right
Show me the door
Maybe here you'll find
A new love together
Strength in the quiet
Shut up the fight
Pushin’ the power
What is wrong, what is right
Maybe here they'lll find
A new love together
Take it or leave it
Be what unbinds
Open a window
Start again
Unwind your mind
Strength in the quiet
Shut up and fight
Pushin’ the power
What is wrong, what is right
Maybe here we'll find
A new love to change our minds
Maybe here we'll find
A new love forever
