This was the 2nd song Michael and I wrote together around this time last year. We were reminiscing on past times when we were kids, school was out, it was summertime, and you finally got to do whatever you wanted. The ease of sleeping in, being lazy, and going at your own damn speed. No more dirty looks from authoritative figures!

There is something comforting about the hot sun and feeling like you are in charge of your own destiny while embracing the unexpected. All the possibilities of new growth with hope, faith, and realizing how awesome life is in the moment!!
